What sits on a card
Top line: kickoff time, TV, venue and the forecast at that venue. Then both teams with logos, season record and recent form, followed by the market strip — spread, total and moneyline — then injury notes, ESPN FPI against the market's win odds, and the pick.
- FavThe team the market prices as the winner, with the points it is laying.
- DogThe team taking points. Larger numbers mean a wider gap in expectation.
- PickThe side chosen, with a confidence level drawn from how far FPI sits from the market.
Common questions
Why do some cards show no spread?
- Lines are pulled at load time; a game can be off the board after a late injury.
- Week 18 games are often priced only once the playoff picture settles.
How is confidence decided?
- High — FPI and the market disagree by more than a field goal.
- Medium — a gap of roughly one to three points.
- Low — both models land in the same place; the card is informational.
Where does the data come from?
- Schedule, records, injuries and FPI from ESPN, read live each time a week is loaded.
- Prices are a snapshot, not a live feed — check your book before acting on them.
